From the Homeland

Janelle and I visited a jewelry peddler on the seaside today. We struck up a conversation and found out that she had moved here three years ago from Alaska. Janelle mentioned that I was Tlingit (Alaskan Native), and we found out that she was too! Now, bear in mind, I have never, to my knowledge, met another Tlingit outside of my family, and here was another one in Hawaii! Pretty exciting.

More stories later.

That’s what I love that about Hawaii. Everyone is the best mix of everyone else. Mitchner called them the Golden people. My daughters pre-school class was full of the most beautiful children I have ever seen. In the future all humans will be like Hawaiians. I can’t wait! I would live there again in a minute. That is is I could take my family and Ana’s!

I really need to get on your blog more. I turn around for like two weeks and you’re in Hawaii! I hope you’re having a great time! We look forward to lots of pictures and your usual hysterical commentary! ~Ana
