New Reading
So I’m re-reading Watchmen right now, and I’m thinking that I probably have better things to do. I may start up Kierkegaard’s Fear and Trembling again, and I promised Janelle that I’d read some Annie Dillard, but are there any other good reads my three readers can recommend?

I’ve read Fear and Trembling. It was little too light for my reading preference. Just kidding. I have read it, though–it’s very good, yet very heady. Made my brain hurt a little at times.
I’m almost done reading CS Lewis’s ‘Out of the Silent Planet’, and I would recommend it. I don’t even really like science fiction novels, but this one is pretty good so far. I’m curious to see where the rest of the trilogy takes me. I would offer to loan it to you, but, as you may recall, I’m borrowing them from Jason. And I may be too slow of a reader for you to wait on me before you start reading it yourself.
Other CS Lewis books I’d recommend, if you haven’t read them yet, are: The Four Loves; The Great Divorce (one of my faves–read this first if you haven’t read it yet!); A Grief Observed; The Weight of Glory. I’d also recommend ‘Orthodoxy’ by GK Chesterton (Jason currently has my copy of that, but I think he’s done with it), and ‘The Creed: What Christians Believe and Why it Matters,’ by Luke Timothy Johnson.
Well, I see these are all theology books I’ve recommended…that’s probably because I don’t read much else these days. I also have other theology books you may like (e.g., some systematic theology books by Paul Tillich) that you’re welcome to borrow. Once I get them unpacked, that is, which I’m hoping will be very soon…
